The hosts of the Podcast Royal, Rachel Burchfield, and Jessica Robinson, discussed this incident on their latest episode. The alleged incident occurred last month during William and Kate’s visit to Jordan for the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif from Saudi Arabia.
As people congratulated the newlyweds after the ceremony, Kate engaged in a conversation with Rajwa. It was during this exchange that William seemed impatient and uttered the phrase “chop chop” to his wife.
Kate eventually moved away from Rajwa, possibly due to others waiting in line to speak with the couple. However, she continued her conversation with the bride until they finished talking.
Rachel commented that while William may not have intended to be disrespectful, she sensed tension from Kate. She advised husbands not to replicate such behavior, expressing disapproval of William’s “chop chop” comment, considering Kate’s brief interaction with the bride.
While Jessica found the incident amusing, Rachel disagreed, emphasizing Kate’s apparent tension as they walked away. The hosts of Podcast Royal were not the only ones to comment on the incident. Journalist Ranvir Singh mentioned it on the show Lorraine, describing Prince William’s hand movements as though he was urging Kate to hurry along, reported Entertainment Daily.
The wedding also saw the presence of Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli, as well as Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States. Other notable attendees included Prince Daniel of Sweden, Crown Prince Frederik, and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark.
In a separate event, the Prince and Princess of Wales recently offered insights into their marriage during a tea party for the NHS. Fans of the couple praised their relatability and expressed excitement for their future roles as King and Queen. Some might say, “Chop chop” in anticipation!
